Software Quality Assurance & Testing Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for software quality control experts, automation engineers, and software testers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've just written and registered a function to override the existing WebList.Select command

Function customSelect(oObject, strToSelect, anAdditionalParameter)
...
End Function
RegisterUserFunc "WebList", "Select", "customSelect", true

And when I call this in my script

Browser(...).Page(...).WebList(...).Select "blah", "Something to write somewhere"

this should call my function, nice and happy like, but it doesn't. Instead I get a run error: "Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment". This indicates that the Select being called is the built in one.

I thought I was supposed to be capable of overriding these functions. Any suggestions on how to get that working?
