I would like to create reports about different metrics. One of the metrics is coverage. In order to differentiate between the particular coverage levels I have to create test cases carefully.
To create reports I need to export the test scripts (id and title) into excel sheet and work with the data. To consume and process (statistics) it I need to write some code in C# and put back the results into the sheet (charts and summarized data).
I don't have any problem with this process. On the other hand, excel sheets are okay for me because at end of the day the data will be in a sheet to create charts and reports.
There is one thing I have to check. The company has reporting tool for TFS. I haven't checked whether it is configured properly for my needs.
If you were in my shoes, how would you do it?
We use TFS-2013, Test Manager 2013 and Visual Studio 2013.
