How to test a location based application Basically I agree, but this not the software, this is the hardware and physics behind it and you better understand as much as possible of it before your clients get into trouble. There is much more than the few points I brought up, those are only common pitfalls that I learned the hard way while testing a location aware device. |

How to test a location based application "can't afford" is a strong term. For some tests you need automated repeatability, for others you can let a human decide depending on the context. You answer assumes that you can emulate and understand every aspect of the underlying GPS hardware |

Measuring test performance when there is high variance Also consider extending test duration if possible, this will help average results and lower variance. |

How would you call backward porting testing? Again- close, but not exact. The ported feature will be an integral part of the older Kernel |

Is there a name for this type of vector operation? Pairwise is a subset of combinatorial, theoretically you can choose triplet of values. To be fair Hexawise sells (or gives for free to 1-5 users or Non-Commercial use) a tool that I heard is as good as PICT |

Will the new ISO/IEC 29119 Software Testing standard work with agile methodologies like Scrum? I have a copy too, and the words "agile" and "context" are repeated throughout the standard. |
