Jenkins stops getting my unit test output from xcodebuild Wow. Very strange, but your fix was all I could think of as well for a work around. |

Jenkins stops getting my unit test output from xcodebuild I haven't run into this, but is it possible that each test result returned counts as a 'complete' message from stdout? So Jenkins would stop once the first result is returned because it thinks it has received the 'all clear' (shell returns a "0" all clear)? |

Applied and got interview within hours, I'm wondering if this SQA company is a scam..please advice It really does sounds "too good to be true". It sounds like officer training school, but for QA. I've been enticed by similar consulting organizations very recently and had the same gut reaction. |

Open source web security testing tools The OWASP group is a great source of info. ZAP and the WebGoat project can teach you a LOT. Webgoat is even guided, almost like taking a class. Once you feel comfortable with those concepts, download and explore some of the pre-packaged distros for this like BackTrack or SamuraiWTF. Then set up a VM and see what you can do! |

Is there load/stress testing software that can be used for Ajax calls? Like Sam and user246 said, the best strategy to use for this is to monitor traffic and capture those requests to create an AJAX request profile. Then take that profile and use another tool to create the load based on it. |

Are Selenium functional tests reliable enough to be worthwhile? Awesome additions Sam. Several times I've seen (and been guilty of) assuming a failure was a flaky test case when it was in fact a bug in the product code. |

Testing IE 7, 8, 9. Is the IE9 compatability mode sufficient? I've never had a good experience with those collections. They always seem brittle, and I would wind up cross-referencing them against an actual full install anyway. I just stopped using them and learned to maintain VM images. |

Testing IE 7, 8, 9. Is the IE9 compatability mode sufficient? Pretty much this. There are definite differences in how things will be rendered. It's up to your individual level of risk assessment as to whether it's "good enough" to rely upon. |

Advantages of Rational Functional Tester? This is highly debatable. Especially when IBM chose such an argument inspiring name. |

Is there a PC or MAC laptop built for QA work? This is my favored setup as well, though replace Parallels with VirtualBox and the Air with the full size model. Max out the RAM and slap in an SSD. I chose VirtualBox mostly due to easy of imaging/backup/replication of many different types of VMs and consistent support for new versions of Linux. Being able to destroy a machine and recreate it in minutes is pretty handy. Plus, after spending the cash on that MacBook, the low price of free for VirtualBox looks pretty nice! |

Selenium RC is out dated or still in the market after selenium 2.5 release? RC is still used "out there" and could still be pertinent. But what may be more helpful than a deep dive into RC is conversion from RC to Webdriver. |

How in depth does a test plan have to be in agile environment? This pretty much nails it. There are tons of possibilities for what may or may not require a plan. If you need to document part (or all) of your tests, a plan great place to keep it. This way it can be easily passed around the team to add scenarios/stories to it. |

Does anyone have any suggestions for a Selenium with Ruby tutorials? This is definitely what they're looking for. I have yet to find a better intro/tutorial to writing to Webdriver/SE with Ruby. Great recommendation. |

Facebook App testing Yep, for personal viewing and testing of the interactions maybe a "closed beta" style setup like Sam suggests would work well. But for scale you'd probably have to essentially "fake it" I think. Find out what calls you're making to FB and simulate the response in as close to a production environment as you can recreate. This still leaves the ever unreliable Graph API connection scripts to deal with later, but should get things started. |

Facebook App testing Oh, yeah. There is a limit of 500 per app token. That is a bit far from 1 million definitely. I wasn't sure as I hadn't seen the "mn" abbreviation before for million :) |
