comment Selenium IDE is automatically getting rid off
Are you on a machine at work, or your personal machine? Have you checked the options to see if there is an option to clear out add-ons upon each reload?

comment How to validate checkbox in Selenium IDE?
What is meant by "validations for checkbox"? Are you trying to see if a checkbox is present on the page, or are you trying to click on the checkbox itself?

comment Bug Fix Verification - UI Design
Since it is you who will be keeping track of this minor issue, then contacting the developer and waiting the 24 hrs for the reply should be fine. If you email, make sure you say that if you don't hear from them by a certain time, you will report a new bug (for example). That way you don't need to keep chasing for an answer.

comment Should a scrum be any different for testers from multiple teams?
You make a really good point @JoeStrazzere. I hope my comment on your original answer covers that. I am now leaning toward a weekly status meeting. I have worked here for 6 months under the original manager and found there were issues on one team which may have been solved by a regular meeting between all of the testers.

comment Should a scrum be any different for testers from multiple teams?
Based on the comments from Joe and Phil, I thought I would clarify that I am using the word scrum very loosely to indicate a daily standup meeting.

I agree @user246. This is a nice strategy. I think that a weekly meeting may prove more productive in the long run. I also like the idea of learning sessions, although I think bi-weekly may be too frequent for where I am working.

comment Looking for an excellent example of using a spreadsheet for test case management
Your post made me think of another reason for using excel: maintainability. Although overtly there is more maintenance required for an excel test case management system, it may be seen as the low maintenance option as many people feel they know excel well and can jump in and out to change a format as suited.

comment What kind of documentation do I need for testing new site against old?
@LeonStafford I would also leverage the knowledge of your SQA Engineers. Any who have been around to test the old site will be able to point out areas of high risk. Combine this with business risk and you will have a prioritised list of which requirements to get written and signed off first. That way, when testing does start, you can maximise your testing time on those areas while bringing in the lower risk pieces of work at a later date.

comment Webdriver Check if Checkbox is Set and Set it if Not
Thank you for the example. Two things. First, what is the difference between IWebElement and just WebElement? Secondly, this only seems to check the first of three boxes and leaves a second box unchecked. Is that correct? My feeling is it should pick up all unchecked boxes and check them. Any further pointers would be appreciated.

@dzieciou Thank you for your advice. I had been attempting to do what you mentioned, but wasn't making progress. I am getting better at debugging my code, but this was one time I couldn't it fixed.

@SuchitParikh Thanks for the link. I am learning to read documentation, but application of the knowledge is still a bit rusty.

I also found that removing JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS works. Essentially I found this forum post [link](tinyurl.com/c2wraj7 which ) instructing the removal of the following: _JAVA_OPTIONS, JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS, and IBM_JAVA_OPTIONS This solution worked.

comment How do I reconfirm my software for ISO 9001 certification?
As an addition to the comment from @MalRoss, would the auditor be satisfied with running a set of benchmark scripts i.e. you know the outcome of each script after interrogating the data, therefore proving that a test that should fail in your software will fail and one that should pass will pass?

Because they send you a license for it. The software is free, but requires a license to run after 30 days.
