TestComplete working with a very large application loses the ability to access application internal properties Thanks for the update! I hope you get it taken care of. |

TestComplete working with a very large application loses the ability to access application internal properties Are you able to apply an older build of the application (Say from a month ago) to see if that works? If you can narrow down when it started, that would help determine if it was TC or your app. Any change in the environment? Hardware, OS? |

TestComplete working with a very large application loses the ability to access application internal properties And also do you need to include the file necessary to your application to expose its properties to TC? |

TestComplete working with a very large application loses the ability to access application internal properties Did this just start happening when you upgraded to TC9? |

Standalone tool equivalent to Object Spy from QTP I know it doesn't have the 'pointer' but it should have a listing of active applications that you can expand down to to view the properties. So when you have your app running, and you run one of these, it doesn't recognize your app? |

How to change status of all test cases in QC test lab I believe you are correct, there is no easy way to accomplish this. You can also click in the status field and press 'P' to select passed. Or you could even write a script to connect to QC and mark each one as passed. |

Fully qualify window path after upgrading to QTP 11? True, but then that won't help to generate content here... |

Fully qualify window path after upgrading to QTP 11? I have not yet, no. I thought perhaps this would yield a better, faster, and stronger answer. |

What are the challenges around the integration of Manual and Automated Tests? +1 I couldn't agree more. You need someone dedicated to creating and maintaining tests, while also having a firm grasp on 'what makes a good test'. As soon as you make automated testing something 'you do when you have spare time', it will get pushed aside. |

How do I satisfy external auditors that automated tests are at least as effective as manual tests? Do you have a test case management system that can be associated with requirements? That could help you tie test results to something that management could query for pass/fail results in relation to the requirements. |

What factors should affect the ratio of QA/Test staff vs. App Developers A great answer, especially the part about the developer collaboration. |

Suggested books to start on software testing I think that there is room for a bit of subjectivity here, as quality itself is subjective. |
