How to convince BA that her software requirement may cause problems? @GauravKhanna - all I can say is: You have some problems :-( |

Considering automation parameters, which is better: relative Xpath or absolute xpath? Welcome to SQA.SE - perhaps you'd like to expand your question, to explain what you ARE trying to achieve? At the moment, it just seems brusque. |

Which automated tests do devs create vs SQA staff? I think @Leon means "have logged 600 issues in the tracker" - experience shows at least 10% will be dupes, and 10% will be "Behaviour as expected"... a chunk will be "the requirements are wrong" some "the test case is wrong" leaving the balance as "proper bugs" |

Are code reviews considered part of QA? Welcome to SQA... I'm not convinced by your suggestion that SCA should be under QA - IMHO, SCA should be done by the developers, with the objective of minimising the number of violations BEFORE RELEASE rather than as a second iteration. |

Mutation testing: is it useful for assessing test quality? Welcome to SQAT.SE - could you give an executive summary? Links to articles (especially "paid for") are not very helpful in the SE context... |

Should tester fix bugs? @Phil - if (as an independent surveyor) you are inspecting a house and find a lose nail, no you CAN'T fix it yourself. The same should apply to independent testers. |

When can we say a defect is “Open”? Terminology is, as you say, key. I'd use Accepted for this status. To me Open is the antonym of Closed rather than a specific stage. But I agree with the extra step. In Progress means, er, in progress |

What are the main role and responsibilities of a tester? It very much depends how the project looks at it. If done in the right order, it can be VERY beneficial and cost effective. If looked upon as a box ticking exercise, to be left until later, it is a complete waste of time. Sadly too many companies think "box ticking" |

Which simulator I can use to do function testing for BB mobile application? Welcome to SQA&T... your question is quite broad - can you narrow down your requirements a bit. As this stands, it is likely to be closed as "Not Constructive" |

Validation and verification in CMMi, ISO, IEEE. What should I refer to? Welcome to SQA&T. I like the idea of Ve being the Va of Va - except that Ve tends to happen before Va ;-) |
