Compare screenshots of rendered web pages We also use a tool for the comparison between the 'base' image (oracle) & the newly rendered page. Our Programmers wrote it in-house based on some code they found on the web - I'll post a link when they get back to me. |

Compare screenshots of rendered web pages We're using fighting layout bugs. Quite tricky to set up - the out-of-the-box config is very sensitive in that it gives loads of false negatives. there are several parameters for reducing sensitivity though. |

Is there a successful approach to automating security testing? Could the tool be used to run regression tests (checks) to ensure there's no deprecation in the quality of the security already in place? I agree that exploratory security testing is a cognitive skill. |

What's the difference between “testing” and “quality assurance”? I agree with this answer & I'd go even further with the testing being a subset of QA idea - As Michael Bolton puts it, as a Tester, you are not responsible for project budgets, staffing levels, deadlines etc - all of which have an impact on quality. As I see it, Testers provide information to the people who make the decisions on the state of the software |

how do i make the case to management for QA to get a new android for testing the mobile platform? +1 - and if you can associate a (negative) cost with those differences, compared to the cost of a new handset, it'll give you a stronger argument |
