comment Advance commands of Selenium are not working in IE browser
Some more information would be helpful. Which language bindings? Can you show us the code that is not working for you?

-1 for suggesting the OP uses a drastically out of date version of Selenium that doesn't even use the IEDriverServer.exe. If you are still using 2.14 you really shouldn't be.

Your right, I've conflated implicitly wait with page load timeout, time to update the answer.

Positive, I've added a link to the SafariDriver wiki entry and pulled out the relevant quote.

comment Selenium RC is out dated or still in the market after selenium 2.5 release?
Why is it OutDated? Well it's deprecated, in maintenance mode (So nobody is actively working on it) and the current plan is to remove it from the codebase in Selenium 3.0. Generally Selenium RC is dead, Long live Selenium

comment WebDriverWait or ImplicitlyWait or ExplictlyWait nothing works
2 seconds may not be long enough which would result in the Element not found exceptions. The stale element exceptions imply that the element you are looking for is changing. You should wait for the element to become stale before waiting for it to appear again.

comment WebDriverWait or ImplicitlyWait or ExplictlyWait nothing works
Sleeps are bad because they add to the test time for no good reason. They are different on different machines, your big beefy i7 may only have to wait 2 seconds whilst an old P100 running the same site may have to wait 15 seconds. Thread.sleep is the lazy solution used by people who can't be bothered to do it properly/don't understand how to do it properly.

comment Testing IE 7, 8, 9. Is the IE9 compatability mode sufficient?
I've used IETester quite extensively in the past and things that worked in IETester didn't always work in native versions of IE6/IE7. use a virtual machine instead.
