I believe in and strive for quality - may it be products, code, comments, documentation or anything else that I do. Effort and attitude counts more than the final result.

Check out this load testing tool (developed by devs at the company I work for):

Lyndon, thanks for the links. LoadUI looks good. As for JMeter, from what I saw it only has Java apis unless I missed something. We are a perl/python shop so adding another language is not practical. We are also thinking of adding features to our in-house tool loader.io

Sam, Visual Studio might do the job in general. Except for me, I am either working on a linux virtual box, a remote linux server or a Mac (in short not a windows friendly place). Also we are an open source company, so licensed products are the last thing on the list. I added the specifics to the question itself.

comment Webdriver Check if Checkbox is Set and Set it if Not
I am a little confused in what the issue exactly is. Are you not able to toggle the checkbox or are you not able to verify whether the checkbox is checked? Also if you haven't yet looked at, this doc might assist you - jarvana.com/jarvana/view/org/seleniumhq/selenium/…

I guess then you can use Selenium to get the text from the css file, and use regex for search/match.

comment How can my team move away from record-and-playback when not everyone has scripting experience?
Spot on with both the paragraphs. I used to work in a team where I was writing scripts and would explain certain sections to non-programmer QAs and do some parallel training and they were able to pick up, run and maintain the code. The mentor in this sense, would definitely need patience but it worked well to distribute the load. But first thing is they should have a desire to participate.

Can you please mention what efforts you have made to resolve this issue and where else have you looked? This will help people help you. Copying your error message and pasting it on google gave me quite a few links, some of them pointing to stackoverflow: tinyurl.com/abesjlm
