comment Set date in datepicker using Selenium WebDriver and C#
Hi Bruno! As a general rule, when answering a question that already has an excepted answer and has for some time, you generally have to really "bring it to the table" with your answer. This isn't to discourage contributing to old posts, but the bar is set with the green checkmark. So this isn't a terrible answer, but it doesn't hold up to the answer that already exists and is accepted. Make sense?

comment Appium: How to find installed app's package name and its main Activity in Appium?
I'm not an android guy, but why doesn't this answer the question? It appears to be an alternative way to gather the same information, unless there's something I'm missing.

This style question is unlikely to produce quality answers. Instead, make an attempt and let us know what fails. And at this point if it's still a problem, might want to make a new question too. =)

I fail to see how bug tracking tools are unreleated to testing.

comment How can developers improve relations with testers?
I've been struggling with this for a few days now. I'll try to get to crafting a meta post where we can, as a community decide how we want to handle both this case and future cases like it.

comment To mock or not to mock with 'Automated Acceptance Tests'
Radu, I do want to thank you for saying it's -your- article and not just blindly spamming it around; that's rare :) but I think Kate's point brings up one of my favorite quotes: "Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should!" I think that's what she's trying to get at. And log_file's comment is also strong - answers should be full answers on their own without the link and then link for people to get more detailed information. I hope this helps you rework this to be more inline with our standards. Thanks!

@sameerjoshi I have to agree with Helping Hands - if there's value in having this question here (regardless of it exists elsewhere), then let's make a canonical question and answer for it. If it exists elsewhere on this site let's mark it as a duplicate. Thanks!

@Pacerier No, I don't.

comment How can developers improve relations with testers?
@Pacerier No, you're right, the developers are paid more than testers. (True story, I'm a developer and have never been in a testing-only role. How did I get moderator here? shrug) And they are that way because of market forces and certain psychological factors, not always business value.

comment What are the debug tools that i can use for GUI Automation on Internet Explorer?
Hi Sperk, I've had a number of notes on this that it doesn't answer the question. Could you elaborate? (Not having done much with IE, I'm not sure if it answers the question or not.)

comment getting an error in selenium using java with mySQL: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found
Have you verified the jar is on your classpath? Try using an import statement of import com.mysql.jdbc.Driver; to verify it made it onto your classpath properly.

comment How can developers improve relations with testers?
I remember a quote from Joel Sposky's blog that said "Why would you have your $100 an hour developer do this when it could be relegated to a $30 an hour tester?" and it made my blood boil...

comment Alternative for HP ALM (QC) + Jira
Hi Naomi - two problems. First, affiliation has to be announced in every post that promotes the product you're affiliated with (which you did in your last post, but not here). Second, it is hard to accept an answer that basically says "follow this link, it has your answer". But I'm going to have to do some soul searching about this entire question, honestly - I'm not sure whether it should even be open, because it doesn't appear to be answerable (despite the accepted answer).

comment How to test battery consumption of mobile app?
What does the app do? What modes does it have? Are there things you would logically expect to consume more battery than others? Without the answer to these questions, there isn't much of a plan that can be made.
