Thanks for the update, Rsf. Great way to handle that.

That implies that 1) that's a good question and 2) that this question and that question are in the same category. I'm not sure about either of those implications being true.

@dzieciou I disagree - either it's a good question and people should get credit for their answers, or it's not a good question and it should be closed. I would vote to close, but i'm not 10000% certain and obviously my vote is binding, which is why I'm letting the community decide.

comment Looking for an online mobile testing service
Hi Moiz, I know this is an older question, but I closed it because I'm not sure it matches the kind of question we're looking for here, and it was attracting attention from newer users. I hope that isn't a problem. =]

comment Function to write 2 D Array from java into Excel
Hi Rajesh, so this definitely needs to be on www.stackoverflow.com` instead of sqa here. Also, when doing so, instead of just throwing code up, when you ask your question there, make sure to include what you feel it's doing wrong and what you want it to do - that will help get the right attention you need. I suggest tagging it with [java] and [poi].

Which of these criteria are most important? Which are dealbreakers and which are nice-to-haves? This is a subjective question (it's an opinion piece, in a sense) but that's not entirely bad. We just have to remember Good Subjective, Bad Subjective principles.

comment Smoke testing by Dev team
I really like this answer. It seems to imply that if the smoke test the developers run is big enough that you think QA should be doing it, you're not really doing a smoke test anymore.

The work of everyone is to assist in the production of high quality software. The sooner errors get into the hands of developers, the better it is for everyone. Developer initiated smoke tests help prevent "Infinite Defect Methodology" The schedule was merely a checklist of features waiting to be turned into bugs. In the post-mortem, this was referred to as "infinite defects methodology" Source, scroll to #5

comment Four eyes principle in a distributed team
@AdrianHHH Four eyes is not a terrible name. A very common expression says "let's get another set of eyes on this". Naturally, someone with one or no eyes can still be "another set of eyes". Most (as in 99,997 out of 100,000) people are born with two eyes (even if non functioning). C'mon now. Generally, people prefer general neutral terms, and "four eyes" fits the bill.
