comment Which one is best for mobile application testing? Manual or Automation?
As the answers put, there isn't a great answer to this. It suffers from two problems. One is that it's mostly based in opinion, and the other is that it's a very broad question. That's not to say that you're completely out of luck. What I would recommend is taking the actual challenges and problems you have, whether it's something hard to test with your manual tests, or a struggle getting your automated tests running, and post for help on that specific problem. That would be the best way to get quality results (cue terrible puns!) out of this SE site. =)

comment What practices are used to avoid constantly testing the login screen in web driver tests?
That's not correct Peter. When you post a comment, it automatically notifies the author, the previous commenter, and a single @ user if it exists for a maximum of three notifications per comment. So without an @ notify, you will always get the previous commenter (you in this case) and the post author (you also in this case).

comment Selenium WebDriver (Java) with database
I'm quite sure it is possible to validate results based on database values. But whether or not you should be validating is such an open ended question, I'm not sure we can really answer you. If you could refine this question, distilling it into what specific problems you're trying to solve, we would have an easier time diagnosing and helping to solve them. Thanks!

comment Tips for wanna be testers?
Welcome to SQA, user8185 =) I don't want to discourage you from strengthening your skills or trying to beef up you qualifications. But unfortunately, this question isn't quite... well... answerable. The only people who can really answer this are the one reading the resumes for the jobs they posted, which require a broad selection of technical skills. If you choose a skill (you can use our tags to find some popular technologies) and try to learn it, and run into problems, we're here to help you through that process!

comment Test Suite vs. Test Plan
I think I can get behind these definitions. Ideally, each point in the test plan would mandate a test be created. That created test would be part of the test suite.

comment Robot framework. How to select option by text but value
I'm sorry, Sachin, but this doesn't actually answer the question. It has a comment (request for more info) and just some links. Would you be able to provide a working example?

comment As a black box tester should I be asked to identify when defects were introduced and by who?
As a black box tester, why do you even have access to the code at all? Wouldn't that "muddy the waters"?

comment Selenium training in C# or Java
Welcome to SQA, Vik. This looks like a really simple question, but there's a lot of factors to it. I mean, imagine if someone came to you and said "I want to write an app. Should I use C# or Java?" - that's basically the same question going on here.

comment Should I unit test for null values even if it can never happen?
In practice they end up being documentation, because they happen to be working examples. However, I would hesitate to slack on documentation just because you have unit tests. The unit tests should be testing the documented requirements. The documentation is what tells you if your tests are testing the right things or not. As for the answer itself, that's spot on. Testing for things that can never happen is the easiest test to do - you clearly have a bug (caught by the test) if you've broken some invariant like "this cannot be null".

comment What's the best web testing tool for beginners with no previous automation experience?
Sorry Dmitry, it's a start but right now the question is just so open ended. There's no way to really compare the different ones. There's just too many factors.

comment Can every test be done by automation?
I believe this answer is really saying "No, not every test can be done by automation. For example, you could not automate usability testing of an app." So while the form is not so great, it is technically an answer.

comment Running Selenium Script in Chrome browser in android devices
Hey again Dmitry. Just like on the Lockito answer, we need a bit more in the post for someone to follow. Ideally, we explain more than the what: we explain the how and the why as well.

Welcome to SQA, Dmitry! I'd like to give you a chance to elaborate on this. As it stands, it's impossible to make the connection of why it's a good tool based on just what is in the answer. If you could flesh out your thoughts here, that'd be great! =)

comment Criteria for deciding what is more important to test
Hi Prashant! My comment on your other answer applies here. I should also take a moment to mention our general guidelines for self-promotion: We're all for it, but if it's the only reason you're here, you will encounter a bit of resistance. There's some very prominent SQA personalities on this site, I would encourage you to read a few posts where they link back to their site and follow their lead. Thorough posts that all by themselves answer the question, and then link to a much larger article regarding the material.
