Is this your website? swatsolutions.com/agile-now-role-qa-agile Or did you just copy and paste from there?

comment How can developers be assured that their software is fault free?
@RedSonja - "by German law if I let a bug through and someone dies, it's me who goes to prison" - really? If a bug gets through and someone dies, you automatically go to prison? If so, I wouldn't be in this profession in Germany. Can you point out a link to that law?

@RedSonja - sure, but if you can "never find all the bugs", how do you know that one of these "unfound" bugs won't fire missiles randomly? I would assert that you actually cannot be sure.

comment How can developers be assured that their software is fault free?
"Of course you never find all the bugs, but you can make sure your software doesn't kill anyone." - so you cannot assure developers that their software is fault free. How can you know that your software won't kill anyone?

"What if the bug bites back before there is a chance to fix it,especially in mission critical applications?" - then you hope the application has a safe failure mode.

comment What should be the answer given by QA when asked if software is ready for release
"That question is the entire reason that the QA team exists." - that would only be true in shops that view QA as a "gatekeeper". That's not the case in shops I manage. While QA provides input, it's up to the business to decide what is "ready for release" or not, in companies where I manage the QA function.

comment How to tackle a huge bug backlog?
Good answer. The only thing I would add is to spend some time finding out why you have all these bugs. Are there process issues? Education issues? Clarity issues? Staffing issues? "Huge bug backlog" is a symptom of a problem somewhere.

Have you consulted through an Agency before? If not, you should. Then you could learn about being a consultant, and learn something about the business of owning a consultancy.

"What makes my service valuable? = The cost" ??? That's all? It's going to be hard for someone in the US to compete solely on cost.
