Aug 26	comment	Transition from all manual testing to automated testing I like the point about automated testing not being a magic bullet. That's how it has been sold to some of the more experienced people I'm working with and based on the testing we do now we could spend years setting up automated tests that still wouldn't be as effective. The lure of automated testing to them is a complete replacement of what we do now and it was nice to be reminded of why that's a terrible idea.
Aug 26	comment	Transition from all manual testing to automated testing I like the reference to the 80/20 rule. That is where we could save the most time testing simple things in our software with and it is the easiest to start/justify to management.
