Too many questions (way too many) for a canonical answer that will help others in the same situation. This is a Q&A voting site, not a general 'what do you think about x" discussion site. Those are valuable needs, just not really served well by the format of this site
Dec 10, 2018 at 19:54 comment added Michael Durrant I think a good approach here would be for the questionner to self-answer (a perfectly fine practice in my opinion and allowed by the system) andmove the 'answer' bits in the question to that answer. Or make them more 'questionny' and 'answery' if they should be in both
