I have a selenium script which in requires to upload a file (stored already in the HD). This works well when I configure the script with Jenkins and click on "Build Now" button in Jenkins.

But when I try and schedule a run (to be run later) it fails. It just opens the dialog window for the file to be uploaded and fails.

I have tried various ways:

  • including running as a service and without it
  • allowing / disabling the option "interact -with desktop"

I know this is a unique scenario, but we are out of options. Can someone help.

  • how did you observe that the pop up opens ? do you look the system in scheduled run? is both scheduled and build runs in the same system – PDHide Nov 5 '20 at 9:54
  • Hello @PDHide. Yes we observe that the pop up opens, we kept looking at the execution. Yes we look at the system during our scheduled run as we made a note of the timings of schedule. Yes both the build are 200 percent same. – user12730187 Nov 5 '20 at 11:28
