I have over 10 years of experience in the auto insurance claims industry as an adjuster, technical and QA trainer, process improvement consultant, and special projects technical and presentation lead.
I have consulted on numerous executive level projects and have been responsible for creating streamlined processes that have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses. I traveled to various locations around the US to train groups and individuals at the executive level and below. I was also responsible for creating training plans and training all new hires in both technical proprietary software, productivity enhancement, and claims handling. While working in the insurance industry I assisted with scripted functional and exploratory testing for Enterprise level in-house developed claims software as well as consulted on updates, feature implementation and workflow enhancements.
In addition to my prior claims experience I have over 20+ years of customer service experience, technical support, and project lead/managerial skills in a variety of different fields and settings. This has provided me with the ability to quickly adapt to almost any new field or situation.
Currently, I carry a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems (Summa Cum Laude 3.92 final GPA). I am currently the owner of Psyched Techie, LLC (a company used for various freelance and personal projects) which I hope to grow into a successful IT business within the next few years.
I consider myself a lifelong student, always striving to improve my skill sets, learn new ones and help others learn to achieve their potential as well. I am an avid lover of all things related to Science and Technology, Philosophy, Sociology, History, Psychology, Gaming, Photography (both film and digital, as well as medium and large format, B & W and Color Film Development and Printing), Camping, Hiking, Survival Techniques, Self Defense, Software development, Microcontroller applications (IOT, Arduino, Rasberry PI, etc...), FPGA (just starting to try and learn that), 3D Printing, and of course Software Testing.
I believe in the maker movement and the break away from traditional, impersonal, large corporate environments to DIYers, Freelancers, And cutting edge companies that value people and hold the value of their employees over the bottom line. I have backed over 25+ successful Kickstarter campaigns in technology and design, which you can review using my kickstarter profile link below.
I could go on further, but as I stated above, I am a lifelong student of many things. This means that my interests and knowledge is constantly changing and growing, and as a result my biography is a living document.
